photos up soon...?

this is it. this is it. die oredi.

and then i turned the key, pushed the door open and........... was greeted by a modern, contemporary room.
it truly was a WHATTHE$#(@> moment.
a WHATTHE$#(@> moment of relief. i think i shed a tear or two of joy.
nah.
seriously, isn't it easier to update a website than to refurbish an entire hotel?
cheaterbug sia'l!
have you any idea how horrible the rooms looked on the website? the shock, the disappointment and utter disdain i felt when the web page loaded on my pc and before my very eyes appeared a room which would have been the epitome of cool in 1980!
it wasn't the best hotel, of course. nowhere near by a large margin, but it was acceptable.
with wooden flooring which isn't as disgusting as carpeted floors which trap dirt and dust and... yelch.

alright enough of that. for now.
the training tour was, in my opinion, useful.
it put things into perspective for all of us. it helped us see where we are now, and it opened our collective eyes to the mistakes we kept making, playing 3 matches against the same opponent in a short period. we'll work together over the next 3 days to improve our game and on monday, we'll face off with acjayc in the nationals.

one thing i'm really afraid of though is the confidence level of the team. we'll have to boost that infinitely. and the other thing i'm really worried about is the lack of the desire to win. is it because of the poor confidence level which keeps extinguishing the flame inside each of us? i don't know how it can be done now but there has to be some way to make them all realise how much they really want to win. and one more thing. i have to psycho myself to calm down during the game. panicking only ever leads to carelessness. no room for mistakes during our matches, that's for sure.

i have a friend who once told me it's not about how hard it is; it's about how badly you want it.
i always thought that that made sense. i will keep that in mind as the nationals draw closer, and it shall be in my head and hopefully the minds of my team mates, till the end of my short stint in this sport i have grown to love so much.
