truffle shuffle
oh the days when i abhorred the word.
back then, i hated hanging out.blindfold.
i partook in sedulous mockery.
i got hooked.
when did my morals pack their bags?
i've been eaten at.
i've been eaten at.
we mock at those who stand out from the rest in some way or another in our utmost ignorance.
each person has the right to be who they want to be; to do what they like.
each person has the right to be who they want to be; to do what they like.
of course, there are assholes and bigger assholes, but for those whom we tease for kicks, why - just why?
corny as it sounds, who are we to judge?
corny as it sounds, who are we to judge?
and those assholes. are they really as bad as we make them out to be? biases often cloud one's vision of things as they are, with preconceptions leading to a notably more negative viewpoint of every action made by the victim. don't forget that when under scrutiny, even the extraordinarily mundane things one does can be a crime. assuming everyone has an ulterior motive to the things they do would be very wrong indeed.
take a load of this shit youself.
do you even know what it's like to be an outcast?
do you even know what it's like to be an outcast?
i've been there. i know what it's like and hell no it ain't cool not for a bit, no.
it hurts like hell and absolutely no one's immune.
you never get used to it.
you just act like you are.

you just act like you are.
i want to remind myself that once upon a time, it felt like i had no right to laugh at others, 'cos wasn't i any better myself.
oh, the irony.
it still bugs me.
i want to hurt for them, and i want to feel like them.
and one more thing. do you, however remotely, have any idea how foolish you look when you do the things you laugh at others for? i'm not saying that you can't laugh at others unless you're totally guilt-free. but if you laugh at others with great conviction that they're an imbecile, you're kind of one yourself.
i caved in, thinking i could be a part of the gang.
common topics, common interests. get with it, dude!
now i've got what i wanted.
i'm with cool.
i'm with cool.
but not any better for it.
don't take me wrong - i'm not against the odd joke or two (or 3 or 4 or 5 even).
don't take me wrong - i'm not against the odd joke or two (or 3 or 4 or 5 even).
but where the hell do i draw that line?
how far would i, or rather, should i go?
btw, i am not referring to any particular person in this post.
if you think you were mentioned in here, namely at the parts "imbecile,.."or "..bigger asshole...", i'll help you confirm if you are. ;)
