APPLE
just in case you look here, i've a suggestion for you: stop with the damned new products and fix the damned bugs off the old ones!
it's not the first time iTunes failed to call up my library, and wiped out all of my recently added/recently played/most played/songs skipped data, unique to the library....
ok. so after nearly throwing me into a state of shock - i would have dialled 995 myself but i was busy reading up on "heroes: five ways to save it" <-click on that, torrance - i rebooted and found that the "my music" folder was not actually corrupted. //flashback: after a few failed attempts at opening iTunes i got 2 error messages. a pop-up told me iTunes failed to open due to an unknown error. a second later, a windows-bubble-thingy-that-appears-above-the-task bar told me my hard disk had been damaged and data was lost. and i tried opening "my music" and they just said it couldn't be done due to corrupted information. OMFG scary right.// but my iTunes library information was lost anyway, and i had to add all my songs again. so, if i shuffle my songs now, i'll be listening to crap that would not otherwise have been the case with the AI shuffling built into iTunes. and my preferences, my movies, tv shows, podcasts, video podcasts, all have to be added again. plus the tv shows and movies have to be retagged. and then there's the problem of the duplicates. copies of songs i never seem to be able to get rid of in my computer show up all over again and i'm gonna have to delete them one by one in the library. to top it all off, my iPod doesnt recognise this damned new library that i have redone, and has to re-sync.
super irritating, donchathink?
imagine when that happens out of the blue, and over and over again.
it gets on my freakin' nerves.
