on racism-

*sigh

what is wrong with the world man.

there exists one race in this world - the human race.
(corny as it is)

why be racist?

just because people are of a different skin colour, they act differently.. well, you can't blame it on their race! that's a superficial and childish thing to do and you know it.

people have different cultures. they behave differently because of that, but who are you to say that you are superior to them? that's just what you are doing when you criticise their culture! if you comment about their way of life, then they have all the right to pick on yours too!

picture this: someone pushed you. he happens to be a malay. you'll go, "bloody ma-lay push push push!"

and then picture this: a chinese pushed you. you'll then go, "asshole push push push think you very big is it!" or something to that effect. you wouldn't mention races right?

yes yes i thought it over and i realised that if you saw, say, an indian in an accident, and you tell someone "... an indian man involved in an accident just now..." , well, that's just normal because we are pointing out something. well. not ordinary. relative to ourselves. and we hope that it will help in the listener's understanding.

but when it comes to a negative scenario and you say in-diannn with obvious hate, then that's a different thing altogether.

make sense?

BUT WHY?

i feeeel that it's an excuse. a lame, sick, low-down excuse to hate. and through this outlet people vent their anger on all the people of the victimised race.

is that fair?

ok, so that guy who pushed you happens to be obnoxious and he acts in ways you cannot stand. but that is just one person! why do you have to stereotype and make one hell of a sweeping statement and start insulting millions of people, saying malays suck or sth like that?! you just don't take notice when people of your own race do the same things, because they are. well. not different!

and about foreign workers. if they don't act as civilised as you do, don't blame them either; be thankful that you are lucky enough to be educated, and know how you should behave - though i doubt you act like how you should when you should all the time. and don't you forget that they are the ones we cannot do without. just imagine! without foreign workers who built the house that you are sitting ur fat asses in reading this post, your house would have cost probably a hundred times more than it did! the foreign workers helped us to continue developing. so don't be so ungrateful!

and in singapore, our peace and stability does depend very much on racial harmony. YADAYADA i bet you know the rest, corny corny ya ya ya.
but seriously, i feel we are taking it for granted. we just do not understand its importance because we have never experienced how life would be like without it.

so go on, make your racist jokes when you have no reason to hate. and then from there, you start hating other races because of the jokes, most probably. subconciously. i don't know how to put it in words but i feel that alot of racism going on nowadays was started by the lame jokes.

and i feel the most sickening are those who make jokes about their own race. they are promoting this behaviour and making others feel that it is ok, that the victims of the terrible jokes are fine with being insulted. comedy doesn't have to be tragedy.

and just because i posted this, doesn't mean that i am innocent. i do find some of the racist jokes funny and i can't help but laugh sometimes. but i DO NOT support them. hey, nobody's perfect ok, so don't pick on me just because of this post.

and not all my posts are gonna be this. boring.
(insightful, anyone? )

P.S. for those who don't know, not all dark-skinned people are n**gers. and i simply don't get why some people get so cracked up when they call others n**gers. simple minded freaks. AND I AM NOT FINDING FAULT WITH THE ABOVEMENTIONED PEOPLE. i'm just using your behaviour as examples and i just wanna voice my opinions.
